CRAFT: Strawberries!

This week’s strawberry craft was hassle free to prep. I simply created a quick set of templates. Then, I stacked appropriately colored construction paper 4-5 sheets deep, used my templates for tracing purposes and got busy cutting everything out. I used a small hole punch to create seeds, and make a hole in the stems for the addition of chenille stems/pipe cleaners.
REVIEW:
One of my preschool classes is learning about strawberries, so the instructor requested I put together a strawberry themed storytime. I was happy to do so, and came up with this outline. The extension activities went over really well (especially Make a Rainbow), and both groups of preschoolers adored Pete the Cat. I appreciate the interactive nature of the story, and a lot of my munchkins found it difficult to resist bee-bopping along to the song portions of the picture book.
