YA Crafts: Halloween Door Hanger!

This was a super-duper successful craft. I only had seven tweens, but they all enjoyed creating their own Halloween Door Hanger. Prepping the craft took some time, because I had to pre-cut everything beforehand. So my various sized, circular hole punches sure came in handy. To facilitate assembly, I laid out all of the supplies on a maker station table, and arranged all of the features next to their appropriately colored base. I put the prototype up for display, and had my tweens create one Halloween creature at a time. After they assembled each creature, I used a small hole punch to add two evenly spaced holes at the top of each one. Then, I demonstrated how to attach their creatures to the hangers using pieces of purple chenille stems/pipe cleaners.
