CRAFT: Letter “Kk” Kangaroo!

This week’s storytime craft was inspired by the blog, Play and Learn with Dana. I drew a simple, modified version, and scanned it into my computer. I pre-cut everything before storytime, and provided colored construction paper, crayons and markers. Heart shaped stickers (The Dollar Tree for $2) were used for embellishment.
REVIEW:
This week’s outreach storytime sessions went fairly well. As is always the case, the preschoolers from the child development center thoroughly enjoyed this week’s variation of “Five _____ in the Bathtub” and “Two Little _______.” “Head and Shoulders” was such a big hit, we performed the action rhyme no less than three times. Kiss Kiss was well received, and the kids had a blast letting me know if the various animals in Do Kangaroos Have Mother’s, Too? have mothers.
